1. Collection and processing of your data
1.1 You can, as a basic principle, visit our website without giving any details as to your person (Personally Identifiable Information (PII)).
1.2 A pre-requisite of the use of our APPLICATIONS or SERVICES which are offered online, in particular the Signavio Process Editor SaaS, is registration, which requires the following details to be entered: surname, first name, complete address, e-mail address, designation of the company. Details above and beyond these are non-obligatory details and are marked as such.
1.3 In the case of payments by means of credit cards, the Customer’s credit card data will be requested only over the telephone, and only stored for recurring purchases in encoded form with the credit card processing company selected by Signavio.
1.4 This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which enable you to carry out an analysis of the use of the website. The information obtained through the cookie concerning your use of this website will be typically transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and stored there.
Signavio activated the option for IP address anonymization provided by Google. In consequence your IP address will shortened by the last 8 bits within countries, which are member of the European Union or in other contracting countries of the European Economic Area (EEA). Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and shortened there.
On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information in order to evaluate your use of the website so as to compile reports concerning the website activities and in order to render further services associated with the website use and the Internet use for the website operator. 1.5 For system-related purposes, when the APPLICATIONS or SERVICES are used, Signavio furthermore stores the following data by means of session-cookies: session ID, name of the user, e-mail address. The cookies are automatically deleted at the latest after 7 days.
1.6 For Signavio’s marketing and optimization purposes soley, products and services provided by WiredMinds AG (www.wiredminds.de) are used. The data collected by WiredMinds is collected, processed and stored and anonymous user profiles are created. User profiles are anonymized entirely whenever possible. Here, cookies could be applied. Cookies are small text files that are saved in the Internet browser of the website visitor. They are used for recognizing the specific Internet browser. The collected data, which could also contain person-related data, will be transferred to WiredMinds or collected directly by WiredMinds. WiredMinds is allowed to use information that is left during a website visit to create anonymous user profiles. The resulting data is not used without a separate agreement of the person concerned and the visits of the website are not identified and consolidated with person-related data without agreement of those people. 2. Use and passing on of your data
2.1 We may use the data provided by you to answer your questions, only to the extent required to perform the obligations of the contract and for purposes of the technical administration of our products and services. For this purpose, your data is, in so far as necessary, passed on to other companies, e.g. to service providers partners who levy a charge and to the use of whom you have previously consented. These companies may only use your data for the performance of the contract and not for any further purposes.
2.2 Furthermore, address, contact and order data are collected and processed for our own marketing purposes, also by external IT service providers on our behalf of us. Signavio creates pseudonymous user profiles for the sole purpose of continuous improvement of our SERVICE offering “Signavio Process Editor SaaS”.
2.3 If you register for our newsletter we will, only with your express consent, use the data provided by you in order to send you our newsletter. When sending the newsletters, we use your e-mail address. The newsletter contains current information about as well as offers of Signavio GmbH. Unsubscription is possible at all times.
2.4 If services are provided by a separate company originating from any of the Signavio group of companies (companies in which Signavio holds an equity stake or companies that hold an equity stake in Signavio) as sub-contractor, the following data categories are exchanged between the companies of the Signavio group for the purpose of providing the respective (partial) functionality of our APPLICATIONS or SERVICES provided online (e.g. the “Signavio Process Editor SaaS”): License information, User information (name, first name, full address, Email address, Company), IP address, diagram content including attribute information, comments of diagrams, contents of arbitrary files transferred by Customer, workflow status information. The (partial) functionalities include (but are not limited to): Approval Workflow for content of the “Signavio Process Editor SaaS” (provided by Effektif GmbH as company of the Signavio group).
2.5 Signavio may make use of Microsoft Bing Translate on our Websites or as part of our APPLICATIONS or SERVICES. The usage of this service by the customer is optional. If the translation service is used by the customer, the corresponding data is transferred to and processed by the servers of the Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. The Customer must give their consent for Signavio to do so. The usage of the service is defined in the general usage terms and data privacy terms of the Microsoft Corporation.
3. Right of objection
Of course, you may at any time object or revoke your consent to the use of your data for marketing purposes and the creation of pseudonymous user profiles for the purpose of continuous improvement of Signavio’s SERVICE offering “Signavio Process Editor SaaS”. 4. Data security
4.1 Your personal data will be transmitted using SSL encoding (RC4, 128 bit certificate) via Internet when you use our APPLICATIONS and SERVICES which are subject to charge. You can recognize the secure transmission from the protocol designation "https://" in the URL line and also from the complete domain “editor.signavio.com”, “workflow.signavio.com“ or under any sub-domains “*.editor.signavio.com” and “*.workflow.signavio.com” (where “*” indicates an arbitrary string).
4.2 We use commercially reasonable efforts to secure our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons. For additional information on Signavio’s systems and network security, we refer to our information sheet concerning IT and data security, which you can request from us.
4.3 The access to your customer account is only possible after entering your personal password. You should at all times treat your access information confidentially and close the browser window when you have ended your communication with us, in particular if you use the computer jointly with other persons.
