TERMS AND CONDITIONS (the ‘Official Rules’) 1.TIMINGS Entries will be accepted for the Great British Pie Week Pub Pie Champion 2012 until 29th January 2012 and consumers can vote for their favourite pub pie recipe until 5th February 2012. Judging will occur between 30th January & 9th February 2012. 2. PRIZE NOTIFICATION The winner will be notified by 10th February 2012. 3. BRITISH PIE WEEK PUB PIE CHAMPION- ELIGIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY This contest is only open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least 18 years of age. All entrants must work in the foodservice industry as a pub chef at the time of entry and must have permission from the employer/pub owner to enter. The officers, directors, employees, contractors, prize providers and agents of Jus-Rol (‘Jus-Rol’) and the immediate families and those living in the same household of any of the above are not eligible.
In entering the competition, the entrant must be available on the telephone for potential interview in the afternoon of 9th February 2012.
The winner will be required to participate in a case study on the 13th February 2012 and must be available on this date. 4.CONTEST ENTRIES Each contest entry must contain a valid first and last name, a valid e-mail address, a valid daytime phone number, a valid UK postal address, the entrant’s title and Publican address, it must also include all mandatory business information as indicated on the form and a Pie Recipe. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in disqualification. 5. RECIPE CRITERIA All recipes entered into the contest must contain Jus-Rol pastry as an ingredient, include all ingredients to be used, include the size of dish to be used, confirmation that the recipe serves 5 people and use UK metric measurements. 6.RECIPE SUBMISSIONS Recipes can only be submitted with the official entry form that is located on the British Pie Week website www. britishpieweek.co.uk as an online form or downloadable entry form that should be faxed to: 01372 383 392. Entrants may submit one recipe only.
By submitting a recipe, entrants attest to the fact that, to the best of their knowledge, their submission is an original creation and not the copyrighted property of another individual, corporation or other legal entity.
Once submitted, all recipes become the property of Jus-Rol. Entry constitutes permission to edit, modify, adapt, publish and otherwise use the recipe in any way without compensation. All entrants agree to and waive any and all moral rights attached or relating to the recipe submitted by them in this Contest.
By entering this Contest, entrants grant consent to the use by Jus–Rol of winners’ name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation (except where prohibited).
In case identical recipes are received from multiple entrants, the first qualified recipe which arrives will be judged. Any later received identical recipes will be eliminated from further consideration.
All rules of this Contest (including these Official Rules) are subject to change by Jus-Rol without notice. Once an eligible entry is submitted, it will be placed into a file for final judging.
7. JUDGING CRITERIA All recipe submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by a judging panel of Jus-Rol employees as well as an independent party, all of whom will have experience in the foodservice industry, who will choose the Top 5 recipes that meet the criteria listed below.
The Top 5 recipes will then be reviewed by the British Pie Week judging panel, whose decisions are final. Each recipe will receive a score of 0 to 100 based on the following criteria:

In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-evaluated by the judging criteria, and if still tied, the most original recipe will be deemed the most suitable for the final.
The decisions of each judging panel are final as to the entries judged.
Consumer votes will account for a maximum of 10 points towards the ‘Great British Pie Week Pub Pie Champion 2012’ prize. However all consumer votes posted on the website for all valid recipes entered into the competition will be taken into account for the ‘People’s Choice’ prize, where the pie with the most consumer votes will be awarded the winners position.
8. PRIZES Prize structure: There will be one Grand Prize and four Runners-up for the contest. The Grand Prize is £500, a personalised chef jacket, a British Pie Week trophy and participation in a case study. The case study will take place at the winner’s pub with a Jus-Rol representative and will involve an interview with the winner as well as photography of the winning pie, chef and pub to be used in editorial in trade press. The interview discussion will discuss what it means to win and what effect this will have on the pub. The 4 runners up receive a personalised chef jacket and window sticker. In addition to the Grand Prize and Runner-Up Prizes, there will be a ‘People’s Choice’ winner (the recipe with most consumer votes), who will win the opportunity to participate in a case study which will take place at the winner’s pub and will involve an interview with a Jus-Rol representative, discussing what it means to win the People’s Choice award and how it will affect the pub. As part of the prize the winner will also receive a window sticker. 9. USE OF WINNER’S NAME, LIKENESS, ETC. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Contest constitutes permission to use winners’ name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any prize, except where prohibited by law, winners may be required to execute and deliver to Jus-Rol a consent to the use of their name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation, as well as a signed affidavit of eligibility and acceptance of these Official Rules and release of liability All national, and local regulations apply.
Names and counties of winners will be posted on the www.britishpieweek.co.uk website, and entrant information may be used by Jus-Rol for marketing purposes subject to Jus-Rol’s privacy policy. 10. LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY/RELEASE Jus-Rol is not responsible for any damage to participant’s computer occasioned by participation in this contest.
Jus-Rol is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, illegible, garbled, inaccurate, misdirected, undelivered, or delayed entries. No incomplete entries will be accepted. Entries will not be returned or acknowledged.
The Jus-Rol is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or illegible entries; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Jus-Rol on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, entrants: (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements; and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Jus-Rol and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Jus-Rol reserves the right in its sole discretion to: (i) permanently disqualify from the Contest any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) withdraw the Contest if it becomes technically corrupted such that, in Jus-Rol’s sole determination, the online method of entry cannot be conducted as originally planned (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Contest) and to select winners from among all eligible online entries received prior to withdrawal. 11. ENGLISH LAW These terms and conditions are subject to English law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. 12.
