Nothing to eat or drink for 4 hours prior to exam. Hold any ACE-Inhibitors for 48 hours.
Nothing to eat or drink for 4 hours prior to exam. No caffeine for 24 hours prior to exam (decaf, coffee, cola, tea, chocolate, Excedrin, and Anacin). No Viagra or other ED medications for 48 hours. If scheduled for Nuclear Medicine Treadmill-restrictions apply for Beta-blockers. Please contact scheduling at 982-6689.
CSF – Flow w/Lumbar Puncture
Withhold Coumadin for 5 days, Lovenox for 1 dose, Plavix for 5 days, Pletal for 4 days, Pradaxa for 48 hours, & Ticlid for 14 days prior to exam after obtaining approval from prescribing physician. Lab work as indicated at time of scheduling. Must have a driver. Light diet CSF – Leakage w/Lumbar Puncture
